Ellen graduated in 2000 after 3 years of study with an Advanced Diploma in Graphic Design, specialising in Print & Multi Media and since then, has been keeping up to date with the ever changing industry trends and technology.
embgraphics was formed in 2002, and 21 years on, Ellen can be found in her fantastic design studio based in Aberfeldy Perthshire. embgraphics offers bespoke branding, print & web design solutions and illustration to a wide range of sectors all over Scotland and beyond.
Clients range from all walks of life: B&B's, hotels, designers, engineers, activity providers, ladies fashion, visitor centres, architects, community groups, education and cinema all looking for design solutions, a diverse and interesting mix of private and business clients. Ellen can be found in her studio at 27 Dunkeld Street, Aberfeldy and if not inside, she's likely taking a break and pottering about in the garden (keeping an eye on the chooks). Integral to the team and smooth operation of the studio are Stan Lee and Oliver the Bull Terriers, they make sure Ellen is kept on her toes and taking a lunch time walk every day.
Getting back to her love of art and design, Ellen was awarded a Certificate in Botanical Illustration with Distinction in 2020 after attending a course at Royal Botanical Gardens Edinburgh (RBGE). Ellen went on to gain a place on the Advanced Certificate in Botanical Illustration course at RBGE in 2023 and was awarded another Distinction for her painted study of a Camellia x williamsii "Freedom Bell" which can be seen below.
